DF2 CTF Stock map Tournament

~GH~ Guardians of Honor squad would like to announce that we are holding an 8 team Stock

map CTF tournament. In memoriam of our all time mvp Creedence~GH~ who passed away in 2002

The Creedence~GH~ Memorial Tournament

Each team can consist of 1 or more squads but must have a minimum of 8 players per team.

If you would like to take part as an individual or a squad with less than 8 players we

can assign you other players to fill your roster or merge you with another squad where

your team name will bear both squad monikers.
All players must notify me Hote~GH~ by email hoteghdf2@yahoo.ca of your willingness to

play in this tournament by Nov. 27th/06.
The tournament will commence no later than Friday Dec, 1st/06 and run until Tuesday Dec

12th/06. The final winner will be posted on Dec12th/06, on this board and all other

appropriate squad boards by me, Hote~GH~.
Each round will consist of a warm up map (taiga) and then cycle through the CTF stock

maps with flash flood map being game 1.
A winner will be declared as soon as either team has sufficient wins to be the best of 7.

If a team wins 4 straight then they are declared the winner of that round and the other

team is out of the tournament. If after 6 maps the teams are tied then the next team to

win a map outright is the round winner (sudden death). And the round continues to cycle

through the maps until a team wins a map outright.
Round 1 must be completed by Monday Dec 4, Round 2 must be completed by Friday Dec8 and

round 3 must be completed not later than Tuesday Dec 12.
A round can be stopped at the end of any map and resumed at a later day as long as it is

done in the time allotted and as long as both teams agree to interrupt the round.
Any team , squad or individual that would like to partake in this tournament please email

me at hoteghdf2@yahoo.ca
we will not expand from 8 teams for this tournament so get your requests in early to have

a better chance of being involved in the games.
Each player must submit their df2 name and df2 squad name, plus the df2 names of those on

their df2 squads. also each player must submit their email address and their im. Each

player must submit their best time to contact (eg daily after 5pm est and after 3pm est

on weekends).
Each player may submit their hosting availability (eg. cant host connection too slow) or

(can host daily before 5pm est)

Code of Conduct

I. Behavior
A. All Squads and/or Individuals are to present themselves in a professional manner

during all matches.
1. No use of Foul Language.
2. No accusations of opponents.
3. No flaming of your opponents.
4.None of the above to the Sysop (server)
B. All squads and/or Individuals are to present themselves in a professional manner on

the forums.
1. All rules listed in Code of Conduct I A apply.

II. Cheating
A. Cheating defined as listed below.
1. Usage of ANY game flaws. Including but not limited to:
a. Shooting through towers.
b. Climbing trees or roofs (unless access is provided on the building).
c. Going into/shooting through walls.
d. Using terrain glitches.
2. Changes to any game coding for individual player Enhancement (This includes skin mods
to players).
3. No use of a external program to give a player enhanced abilities (yes this includes

Trainers).
Must Run CheatBlocker at all times, if you fail to do so you will be dis-qualified for

each map that yourself or team-mate failed to show up on CB list. If a player is found

not to be on the CB list he will have to leave the server without delay, please make sure

all players are on CB list on the warm-up map.


General Rules

I Scheduling Matches
A. All matches must be announced and confirmed by both parties on the forum.
B. Squads are required to schedule matches with no less than a 48 hour notice of play

date.
C. You are required to attempt to contact opponents both on ICQ and the Forum.
D. Contact the Tournament Director if you can't contact your opponents after 48 hours of

trying.

II Screenshots
A. All screenshots from matches must be emailed to Tourney Director hoteghdf2@yahoo.ca
B. Take screenshots of any rule violations and email them to the Tournament Director.
C. Screenshots from all matches are required.
D. All screenshots must be left the same way they are found in your DF Directory.
1. This includes image format.
2. This includes file name.
3. You may use a external program to compress (such as WinZip or WinRar) the images for

size.

*Any attempt to alter SS will result in disqualification to the team that submitted it.

Failure to follow these rules in detail will also result in disqualification.

III Emailing
A. Emailing Match Screenshots
1. You must follow General Rules II. D.
2. You must state the following things in the subject field.
a. Name of Tournament (example: CTF Tourney I ).
b. Match Name (example: TeamA vs. TeamB).
c. Results (example: TeamA wins 3-2).
B. Emailing Complaints
1. Complaints with or without Screenshots.
a. Must state Tournament name and Match name somewhere in the email.
b. Any Screenshots must comply with General Rules II. D. or they will be rejected.
2. Complaints must be received within 36 hours of the Match.
a. Must state Tournament name and Match name somewhere in the email.
b. Any Screenshots must comply with General Rules II. D. or they will be rejected.
3. All complaints and screenshots go to hoteghdf2@yahoo.ca

IV) Mercs
1. Mercs are not allowed. If one team has 8 players and one has only 6 then the match

will be played 8 vs 6, you may add players at anytime during the game aslong as they

comply to the Rules.

All games will be played on official NovaWorld Maps

V Servers
A. The serving team for all Tournaments is Red Team
1. Unless stated in Tournament Specific Rules.

a. Check for availability of a server by emailing us
b. If you don't hear back from the Tourney Director within 24 hours look for another

server to play it safe.
C. Host Team
1. Host team is Red Team.
2. Red Team is responsible for getting a server.
D. Server is to abide by the same rules set forth for everyone as stated above.

VI Forfeits
A. Calling a Forfeit
1. Server MUST be set up with all players in the server.
2. Getting a Forfeit.
a. Server must be set up.
b. 1 Team must be in server ready to play.
c. Opponents have 15 minutes after match start time to show. If a no show:
1. reset server for the first map.
2. once clock hits the specified start time the match begins.
3. if no opponents are in, it is a forfeit for that map.
4. if in compliance with rule VI B, players have the choice of playing or forfeiting the

match.
d. After 1st map is forfeit, the server is reset to map 2.
e. If opponents are still a no show when clock hits the specified start time, then the

entire
match is forfeited.
f. If opponents do show for map 2, map 2 (and 3 thru ? if needed) may be played but map 1
remains a forfeit.
g. This 2 map Forfeit exists for all Tournaments no matter on amount of maps to be

played.
